This is a cropped textured crochet vest inspired by Magpie Fibers’ Beav-A-Long. Every year I see the beautiful garments people make for Magpie Fibers’ annual Beav-A-Long; so this year I wanted to create something that would be a fun quick project that would be perfect for crocheters to participate in the Beav-A-Long!
This pattern uses the slip stitches, single crochet, and half-double crochet to create its textured fabric. Designed to comfortably fit a 30”-70” bust circumference, with 4-8” of positive ease.
The Beav-A-Long vest is worked flat in two panels using a bulky weight yarn and a 4.5mm hook as well as a 5.5mm hook. The vest can be worn over any garment or as is (if that is your vibe).
